Eligibility Criteria

*Open to high school students aged 16–18 by July 19, 2026

*Must be a current sophomore or junior (or international equivalent)

*Expected to graduate in May/June 2027 or 2028 (Northern Hemisphere) or Nov./Dec. 2026 or 2027 (Southern Hemisphere)

*Must demonstrate English proficiency

*Must be a first-time participant in YYGS

The Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is one of the world’s most diverse and prestigious two-week academic summer programs hosted at Yale University. It welcomes over 1,950 students from 150+ countries each year and provides over $3 million USD in need-based financial aid.
Students can choose from four academic tracks: STEM, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Cross-Disciplinary Studies. The program focuses on developing global leadership, critical thinking, and collaboration skills through lectures, seminars, and discussions.
