UNECA is offering consultancy opportunities for a project focused on using digital innovations to strengthen agricultural production, trade, and food security across selected African countries. The project supports the AfCFTA by improving agricultural value chains, enhancing market access, and reducing food insecurity through digital technologies.
Eligibility Criteria
International Consultant:
*Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in agro-economics, agronomy, sustainable development, statistics, or related fields
*At least 7 years of experience in digital economy, agriculture, or food security
*Experience with agri-tech projects (preferably in Africa)
*Knowledge of econometric/statistical analysis
*Strong communication and ability to work independently
*Fluency in both English and French (required)
National Consultants:
*Similar background relevant to agriculture, digital innovation, or food systems
*Based in one of the target countries
Funding / Coverage
*Paid consultancy contract
*Duration: 3 months
*Home-based with possible travel
