The UCAS Scholarship for International Students 2026 supports outstanding international students and young researchers to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees, as well as joint programs, visiting studies, research, and academic exchanges at UCAS colleges and CAS institutes in China.
A fully or partially funded scholarship aimed at attracting high-calibre international talents and strengthening global academic collaboration in science and technology.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
*Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport
*Meet UCAS international admission requirements
*Be proficient in English or Chinese
*Not hold any other scholarship during the funding period
*Apply with only one supervisor
*Not already be studying for the same degree level in China
Who Can Apply
*Degrees: Master’s, PhD, joint programs, visiting students
*Country: All countries (international students)
Age Limits:
*PhD: Born after 1 Jan 1991
*Master’s: Born after 1 Jan 1996
*Senior visiting students: Born after 1 Jan 1981
*Regular visiting students: Born after 1 Jan 1986
*Joint programs: No age limit
Funding / Coverage
Full Scholarship (Mainly for Master’s & PhD):
*Tuition waiver
*PhD: RMB 40,000/year
*Master’s: RMB 30,000/year
Monthly stipend:
*PhD: RMB 2,500/month (minimum ≥ RMB 3,500 with additional support)
*Master’s: RMB 2,000/month (minimum ≥ RMB 3,000 with additional support)
*Accommodation: Basic housing in Beijing
*Medical insurance: RMB 800/year
*Application fee waiver: RMB 600
*Duration: Up to 36 months (no extension)

*Tuition waiver
*Medical insurance

*Master’s/PhD: up to 36 months
*Visiting & joint programs: 6–24 months
