The Seattle Children’s Research Institute (SCRI) Summer Scholars Program is a prestigious nine-week, full-time undergraduate research internship designed to provide hands-on experience in cutting-edge biomedical, clinical, community-based, and translational research.
The program pairs Scholars with experienced mentors across diverse labs and research groups to conduct substantive scientific work rather than observation-only roles.
Participants engage in research seminars, professional development workshops, networking events, and a final poster symposium where they present their research findings.
The initiative aims to cultivate the next generation of scientists, clinicians, and public-health leaders, especially those passionate about pediatrics, medical research, public health, neuroscience, microbiology, genomics, and translational science.
Ideal for undergraduate students seeking their first major research experience, particularly those committed to improving child health and advancing evidence-based medical science.
