Location: Entebbe, Uganda (access to UMIC facilities)

Eligibility Criteria

*MSc or PhD students, or early-career researchers in genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields

*African nationals (preference for affiliation with African institutions and underrepresented groups)

*Commitment to advancing genomics research in Africa

This bursary aims to strengthen genomics and bioinformatics capacity across Africa by supporting African MSc and PhD students, as well as early-career researchers. Awardees gain access to the Uganda Medical Informatics Centre (UMIC) high-performance computing cluster, mentorship from leading African and international genomics researchers, and collaboration opportunities to accelerate their research.
