PhD on Youth Movements, Climate Change and Development

Roskilde University invites applications for a fully funded PhD fellowship on youth movements, climate change, and development. The project focuses on youth activism and sustainability in Denmark and Tanzania using qualitative research methods.
Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply:
*Applicants with a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant social science field such as Geography, Anthropology, Development Studies, Sociology, Political Science, or International Relations.
*Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and research potential.
*Experience with qualitative research methods (interviews, focus groups, ethnography).
*Interest in youth, social movements, sustainability, or climate change.
*Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Desirable qualifications:
*Research or fieldwork experience related to development, climate, or youth studies.
*Knowledge of Danish and/or Swahili is an advantage.
*Experience conducting research in different cultural contexts.
Funding / Coverage
*Fully funded 3-year PhD position (full-time, 37 hours/week).
*Salary and employment according to the Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
*Includes research training, supervision, PhD coursework (30 ECTS), and a research stay abroad or at another Danish institution.
