The LSE–Women’s Budget Group Gender Studentship 2026 offers a fully funded PhD opportunity for students interested in gender, care responsibilities, and social policy. Research Focus
“Conceptualizing the Diversity of Care Responsibilities and Understanding the Gendered Policy Implications.”
Research will explore how care work — including childcare, eldercare, and disability care — affects gender equality, employment, and social policy.

Funding / Coverage
The studentship is fully funded and includes:

• Full tuition fees (UK & international students)

• Annual stipend: approx. £22,780 (2025/26 rate)

• Duration: 3.5 years (starting September 2026)

• Supervision by leading gender policy researchers at LSE & WBG

• Access to ESRC Doctoral Training Partnership workshops, training, and data resources
