The ADB–Japan Scholarship Program (ADB–JSP) at Kyoto University offers outstanding students from ADB member developing countries the opportunity to pursue Master’s degree programs in Japan. The scholarship aims to develop highly qualified professionals who can contribute to the sustainable development of their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria
Who can apply
• Must be a citizen of an ADB borrowing member country
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record
• At least 2 years of full-time professional work experience after obtaining a bachelor’s degree
• Under 35 years old at the time of application (in most cases)
• Must be in good health
• Must agree to return to your home country after completing the study program
• Applicants currently living or working outside their home country are generally not eligible
Funding / Coverage
The scholarship covers
• Full tuition fees
• Monthly living allowance and housing
• Books and materials allowance
• Medical and accident insurance
• Round-trip airfare (home country Japan)
• Special research or fieldwork grant (if applicable)
