 Eligibility Criteria

• National of a World Bank member developing country

• Bachelor’s degree obtained at least 3 years before application deadline

• Minimum 3 years of recent, paid, development-related work experience

• Currently employed in a development-related role

• Unconditional admission (except financing) to a JJ/WBGSP participating master’s program

• No dual citizenship with a developed country

• World Bank Group staff and close relatives are not eligible

The Joint Japan / World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) is a prestigious fully funded master’s scholarship designed for mid-career professionals from developing countries. The program supports studies in development-related fields such as public policy, economics, infrastructure, education, health, and environmental management at top universities worldwide. Scholars gain advanced academic training and are expected to contribute to development in their home countries after graduation.
