African Economic Scholars Program (AESP)
Host Region
• Africa (primarily virtual with possible regional engagements)

The African Economic Scholars Program (AESP) is a competitive Pan-African initiative aimed at developing the next generation of economists, policy analysts, and development leaders.
The program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world policy impact by offering intensive training in economic research, public policy, and data-driven decision-making. Participants gain practical exposure to how economic policies are designed and implemented across African countries.
Through mentorship, collaborative learning, and hands-on projects, scholars build strong analytical and professional skills. The program also provides a platform to engage with experts and institutions shaping Africa’s economic future.
It is ideal for young Africans who are passionate about economic development, governance, and creating impactful policy solutions.
