Program Delivery
• Full-time study at selected universities across East Africa
The EAC Student Mobility Scholarships 2025/2026 are designed to strengthen regional integration and academic collaboration across East Africa by enabling students to study in partner universities outside their home countries.
This program promotes cross-cultural exchange, academic excellence, and regional capacity building by supporting students at undergraduate, master’s, and PhD levels.
Scholars gain valuable international exposure within Africa, develop professional networks, and contribute to regional development priorities while studying in diverse academic environments.
Eligibility Criteria
• Must be a citizen of an East African Community (EAC) member country
• Must apply to study in an EAC country other than your home country
• Must meet admission requirements of the selected university
• Undergraduate applicants must meet entry requirements for degree programs
• Master’s applicants must hold at least a Second Class Upper (or equivalent)
• PhD applicants must meet doctoral admission requirements
• Age limits:
• Master’s: below 35 years
• PhD: below 45 years
Funding / Scholarship Benefits
Scholarship package includes:
• Tuition and examination fees covered by host universities
• Return travel costs (to host country)
• Health insurance coverage
• Research support (for Master’s & PhD students)
