 Eligibility Criteria

• Open to Black/African American students

• Must be a high school senior graduating in 2026

• Planning to enroll full-time in a four-year accredited U.S. college or university in Fall 2026

• Intended major in STEM or business-related fields (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing)

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent

• Demonstrated leadership, community involvement, and interest in technology or business

• Demonstrated financial need

• International students eligible if studying in the U.S.

• Children of Microsoft employees are not eligible

The Black at Microsoft Scholarship Program 2026 is a competitive scholarship initiative created to support Black high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in STEM and business-related fields. The program aims to increase representation and access to education in technology, engineering, and business by providing financial assistance and recognition to high-achieving students with leadership potential and financial need.

Funding / Scholarship Benefits
Scholarship Awards include:

• 5 renewable scholarships of $5,000 per year (renewable for up to 4 years based on academic performance)

• 50 one-time scholarships of $2,500

• Funds may be used for tuition, books, and other education-related expenses

• Payments are made directly to the student’s college or university
