Location: China (at UCAS, USTC, and CAS-affiliated institutes)

The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents 2026 is a fully funded international scholarship designed to support outstanding students from developing countries to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees in China.
This program aims to promote global scientific cooperation and nurture future leaders in science and innovation, particularly from countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
• Not hold Chinese citizenship
• Be proficient in English or Chinese
• Meet the admission requirements of USTC or UCAS
• Be born on or after 1 January 1996 (for Master’s) or 1 January 1991 (for PhD)
• Not be pursuing a degree at the same level in China at the time of application
• Have strong academic records and a passion for scientific research
• Choose only one host institution (either USTC or UCAS) when applying

• Natural Sciences
• Engineering & Technology
• Life Sciences & Medicine
• Environmental Sciences
• Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence
• Mathematics & Physics
• Social Sciences related to Science and Innovation
Funding / Coverage
The scholarship provides:
• Full tuition waiver
• Monthly stipend:
– Master’s: CNY 3,000/month (up to 36 months)
– PhD: CNY 6,000–7,000/month (up to 48 months)
• Comprehensive health insurance
• One-time international travel allowance (to China)
• Visa/residence permit support
