AddisCoder Summer Program 2026

The AddisCoder Summer Program 2026 is a free 4-week intensive residential program in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, introducing high school students to computer programming and algorithms. Founded in 2011, AddisCoder has trained hundreds of talented Ethiopian youth, many of whom have gone on to study at top global universities such as Harvard, MIT, Stanford, and Columbia.
The program provides full coverage — including housing, meals, transportation, and training materials — all 100% free of charge, supported by donations and partnerships. Through interactive lectures, labs, and hands-on coding challenges, students learn Python programming, algorithm design, and problem-solving skills at a university level.
Eligibility Criteria (Students)
*Must be an Ethiopian high school student (Grades 9–11)
*Strong academic performance, especially in mathematics or related subjects
*No prior programming experience required
*Committed to participating full-time for the 4-week program
